   Year and usage.

   Manufacture year and how hard the system ran — a low-hours unit from a pharma QC lab prices differently than a 24/7 contract-lab workhorse.

   Ion source included.

   Which source ships with it (IonDrive, Turbo V, HESI, dual-spray) and whether probes and electrodes come along.

3. 3

   Vacuum and storage state.

   Running under vacuum until decommission is ideal. Vented and warehoused is still sellable — tell us honestly and we'll price accordingly.

4. 4

   Software and PC.

   Acquisition software version (Analyst, SCIEX OS, Xcalibur, MassHunter) and whether the PC and licenses transfer with the system.

5. 5

   Service history.

   PM records or a recent service report raise confidence — and the offer. A detector or turbo replacement date is worth mentioning.

6. 6

   Completeness.

   Roughing pumps, cables, gas lines — and the HPLC stack and autosampler if it's going as a complete system.
