Scope and precedence

These terms govern every purchase placed through this website and any sale that is not covered by a signed quote, sales order or invoice from Global Tech Equipment. Where such a document states different terms, that document governs the transaction.

Ordering and acceptance

An order placed on this website is an offer to buy the listed unit at the listed price. We confirm the order by email. We may decline or cancel an order before it ships, for example when we cannot verify the buyer or the destination or when export rules apply, and any payment received is then refunded in full.

Each listing is a single unit. Placing an order reserves that unit until the payment deadline below.

Price, taxes and payment

Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes. Washington sales tax applies to deliveries within Washington State; the checkout shows an estimate and the invoice carries the exact rate for the delivery address, never above the total confirmed at checkout. Buyers with a reseller permit or exemption certificate may provide it after ordering and the tax is credited on the invoice.

Payment is by bank wire transfer against our invoice, due within 5 business days of the invoice date. Orders unpaid at the deadline are cancelled and the unit is offered for sale again. Equipment ships only after funds have cleared in our account.

Wire instructions appear on the invoice only. We confirm them by phone on request and we never change bank details by email. Overpayments are refunded only to the account the funds came from, after they have cleared.

Shipping and delivery

Priced units bought through the checkout ship free of charge to the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia. Equipment is crated and shipped by LTL freight to the curb or the loading dock, with a liftgate when there is no dock, by appointment. Units normally leave our Tukwila, WA facility within 1 to 3 business days after funds clear, and transit typically takes 2 to 4 business days.

Inside delivery, uncrating, rigging, installation and training are not included unless the listing or the invoice says so. Alaska, Hawaii, US territories and international destinations are shipped by separate quotation.

Please inspect the shipment at delivery and note any visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing. That note preserves the freight claim that funds any remedy.

Title and risk of loss

Title to the equipment passes to the buyer when we receive payment in full. Risk of loss passes on delivery. We file and handle freight claims for damage noted at delivery.

Condition and warranty

We sell pre-owned equipment. Unless the listing or the invoice states a warranty, equipment is sold as-is, as described, and every description is made in good faith from our inspection and testing.

Our arrival guarantee applies to every shipment: if equipment arrives damaged, non-functional or materially different from its description, tell us within 5 business days of delivery and we will repair, replace or refund it, as set out in our Return Policy.

To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and our liability for any claim is limited to the price paid for the equipment.

Returns and cancellation

Returns follow our Return Policy: a 30-day return window, a 20% restocking fee on non-defective returns, and return freight paid by the buyer.

An order may be cancelled at no charge before the invoice is paid. After payment and before shipping, we refund the full amount less bank transfer fees. After shipping, the Return Policy applies.

Export compliance

Analytical instruments may be subject to United States export regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations. By ordering, the buyer confirms that the equipment will be used in the United States and will not be re-exported without the required authorization. We may ask for end-user information before shipping and may cancel an order we cannot verify, with a full refund.

Privacy

The details you give us when ordering are used to confirm, invoice, ship and support your purchase and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute is resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.
